The India Meteorological Department (IMD), through the Meteorological Centre Goa at Altinho, Panaji, has issued a district-wise weather warning for Goa covering August 10 to 16, 2026, forecasting continued rainfall across the state during the period.
The latest IMD forecast indicates fairly widespread to widespread rainfall over Konkan and Goa during the week. The department has specifically issued a heavy rainfall warning for August 11, while no weather warning is currently in place for Goa on the remaining days of the seven-day period.
The forecast comes as Goa continues to experience monsoon activity, with residents advised to remain alert during periods of heavier rain, particularly in areas vulnerable to waterlogging, landslides and flooding.
The IMD’s weather outlook is subject to updates as the monsoon system evolves, and residents are advised to follow the latest district-level warnings issued by the Meteorological Centre Goa.
