Vagator started with right earnest where in the early minutes of the match Rama Parsenkar saw his powerpacked shot kiss the horizontal bar.
Three minutes later Myron Dias had a golden opportunity to put Vagator ahead however he blasted the ball over the Calangute goal, having only the keeper at his mercy.
In the 33rd minute of play Runaal Shirodkar came with a fine goal line clearance for Calangute to deny Rama from scoring.
