SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Sao Jose de Areal Veterans defeated Varca Veterans 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-final of the 2nd Assolda Veterans football tournament, played at Padribhat, Sao Jose de Areal ground, on Thursday.
There were no scores in the regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Sao Jose de Areal scored through Antonio Oliveira, Joshino Costa, Issac Taveres and Eddie Fernandes while Bashir Bepari, Rocky Pereira and Narisco Fernandes netted for Varca Veterans.
Sao Jose de Areal will meet the winners of Sun Moon Veterans
and Assolda Veterans in the semi-final on April 3.
