SIRIDAO: Laxmi Boys Mayem sailed into the quarter-finals of the 4th London Cup Siridao, organised by Siridao Sports Club, defeating Sea Pearl Velim 5-1, at River Plate Siridao SC ground, on Thursday.
Mayem took the lead in the 12th minute through Atish off Vineet’s assist.
Mayem scored the second through Chandra.
Sea Pearl went all out but were denied twice by the cross bar. On both occasion it was Raymond who saw his effort denied by the woodwork.
Crossing ends, Mayem mounted the pressure and scored two quick goals through Rupesh. Samson reduced the margin in the dying minutes of the game to make it 1-5.
