GOA VELHA: SCC Loutolim moved into semi-finals of the 11th London Trophy, organised by Goa Velha SC, beating Maina SC 2-1, at Goa Velha ground, on Thursday.
Sandip Konde of SCC Loutolim scored early when Edwin Sequeira misjudged Jelson Fernandes a corner corner kick and the striker headed past keeper Christo Hilarious.
Sandip Konde had another long range shot which was brilliantly saved by Christo Hilario.
At the other end Jessel Carneiro sent Anthony Cardozo charging into the Loutolim box, but the latter shot wide.
Sandip Konde scored again when he cut past the Maina defence and placed the ball past the helpless keeper.
Just before the break, Jessel had his vicious free-kick being pushed for a corner by a diving Loutolim keeper Flager Moraes.
At half time SCC were leading 2-0
After the break, Jessel Carneiro was in devastating form.
Flager was first called to deal with a Jonathan Da Viega shot that he fisted over the bar followed by Jessel’s curl shot which he successfully manage to parry away.
Jessel however scored for Maina as his shot from an acute angle and found the back of the net beating SCC Loutolim keeper Flager.
