CUELIM-ARROSSIM-CANSAULIM: Navelim Sporting Club rallied to beat Goa Velha Sports Club 2-1 to enter in the quarter-finals of the CAC Three King’s Cup inter-village football tournament, at T B Cunha Sports Complex ground, Cansaulim, on Thursday.
Goa Velha SC gained the lead in the eighth minute through Chatur Naik’s free-kick after he was foiled by Valinton D’Silva just outside the box.
However, the lead was short-lived as Presley Gomes equalised for Navelim Sporting Club in the 15th minute.
Navelim SC missed an easy scoring chance through Aldrich Coelho in the 32nd minute.
In the very next minute, Presley Gomes scored his brace and the match-winner for Navelim SC.
