CHANDOR: Sao Jose de Areal SC had an easy leap into the quarter-finals after defeating Varca Sports Club 4-0 in the Chandor Seamen trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Chandor SC, at Chandor ground, on Saturday.
It was Alvito Moura who opened account in the 12th minute for Sao Jose de Areal with power-packed shot which hit the inside of the goal post of Varca and bounced into the rival goal catching the Varca custodian unaware and sailed into Varca net.
Later Jeston Fernandes earned a brace in the 34th and 55th minutes.
Melisho scored the fourth for Areal in the 60th minute.
