Benaulim has many drains which have no covers or are overgrown with weeds. It is difficult for drivers to spot or maneuver around them on the narrow village roads especially at night leading to serious accidents.
The authorities should arrange for the drains to be cleaned and covers installed to prevent mishaps. As it is Goa has the dubious distinction of having the worst vehicular accident fatality rates in India.
