The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has intercepted an illegal consignment of around 450 kg of unlabelled pickles and imported cheese allegedly being transported into Goa from Maharashtra on inter-state passenger buses.
Officials seized the stock for alleged violations of food safety and labelling requirements. The consignment reportedly did not carry mandatory labels, manufacturing details or valid transport bills.
