MARGAO: The Konkan railway police on Friday arrested the three accused who were involved in the molestation of two Goan students on the Janshatadbi train on Sunday.
The trio, Amit Rajshikre, Sachin Pawar and Sanjay Amre, all employees of a Chiplun-based Paint’s company were arrested after they were identified by the two victims. Konkan Railway PSI Dattaguru Sawant informed that the two victims clearly identified the three accused for molesting them while they were returning to Goa on the train.
A Team led by PSI Sawant had brought five employees to Goa to verify their role in the incident. Interrogation of two of the employees revealed that the girls were molested by three, two of whom were told to report at the Konkan railway police today.
“After their arrival at the railway police station here this evening, the duo were clearly identified by the two victims, after which they along with another accused arrested for molestation, and for causing trauma for the victims,” PSI Sawant told Herald late Friday. The duo will be produced before a local court here on Saturday for remand.
