VASCO: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane along with national level observer from the Ministry of Health and Airport Authority of India officials along with team of medical officials held a special review meeting on coronavirus preparedness at Dabolim International Airport on Thursday.
When contacted, Airport Director Gagan Malik acknowledged that there was special review meeting on the coronavirus preparedness which was held at the International Airport Dabolim in which Health Minister of Goa Vishwajeet Rane along with the team of Health department officials and other concerned officials remained present.
Malik said that the Rane reiterated the instructions and health guidelines to the deputed team of medical practitioners at the Dabolim airport.
Dr Rajendra Borkar, medical superintendent of sub-district hospital at Chicalim, informed that the visit of the health minister was to review the preparedness, mechanism, equipments, medicines and other facilities to check and scan the passengers for the coronavirus infection.
Dr Borkar said that the minister had an interactive review meeting with the team of medical practitioners, AAI officials and other officials concerned. “There was an observer from Union Ministry of Health, New Delhi, at the meeting,” he added.
