MARGAO: Given the fact that work on the multi storeyed parking lot proposed at the old fish market behind the Margao Municipal Council building is not going to start soon, MMC is now considering utilisation of the same for some other purpose and walls of the premises are covered with a green net.
Newly elected chairperson of MMC Pooja Naik said the council is in the process of discussing what to use that land for and no final decision is taken as yet.
However, one councilor disclosed that the area will be used a parking lot for municipal or its staff vehicles while another councilor said the area will be used to set up a baling machine as there is no place to keep it at Sonsodo where two baling machines are already in use.
