PANJIM: The Calangute police are expected to file a charge-sheet against the six Mumbai bookies, allegedly involved, in the IPL spot fixing scandal, in August.
Police sources said the investigation is nearly complete and a charge-sheet will be ready for filing before a local Court by August. They have also ruled out direct links of the remaining five with the bookies in Delhi.

Paresh Asarpota Bhatia, Ketan Chawda, Ritesh Patel, Amit Papat, Sandeep Asarpota and Nikunj Lalan who were operating the betting racket from a rented villa at Candolim, were arrested last month. They were released on bail early June.
Mumbai police subsequently took the custody of Paresh for operating a larger network involving some cricketers and bookies in Delhi.
Goa police had formed a special investigation team headed by North SP Vishram Borkar to investigate the betting racket.
A crucial register contained several phone numbers, was seized during the raid. Forty six mobile phones, iPads and other electronic gadgets have been attached as evidence during the trial.
