MARGAO: Claiming that a huge quantity of mixed waste has been dumped by the canteen contractor at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium at Colmorod, Shadow Council for Margao (SCM) on Friday called for immediate action against the act.
SCM Convener Savio Coutinho claimed that a huge quantity of mixed waste has been dumped by the canteen contractor of the indoor stadium in the nearby fields at Colmorod, and if not attended, will definitely convert the area into a mini Sonsodo.

“This type of dumping of waste in the open will not be tolerated. Directions should be given for segregation of the waste so as to facilitate the MMC to lift the same for disposal”, he stated.
