AVEDEM-PARODA: Sao Jose de Areal blanked Margao SC 2-0 to move into the semi-final of the Fr Agnel soccer, organised by Fr Agnel YC, Paroda, at Avedem-Paroda, on Saturday.
Sao Jose de Areal opened the score-line through Liston D’Costa in the second minute.
Three minutes later, Margao’s Valito Miranda power-packed shot hit the Areal cross bar and went out of play.
In the second half, Monty Valadares doubled the lead for Areal in the 50th minute.
Sao Jose de Areal will now meet Mandopa SC in the semi-finals on January 12.
