PANJIM: A total of 18,135 students are set to answer the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination 2019-20, beginning on Wednesday. Of these, 9,322 are girls and 8,813 boys. The exams will conclude on March 24.
Around 5,588 students have registered under the commerce stream, while 5,111 students are in the science stream. There are 4,521 students in the arts stream and 2,915 in the vocational stream.
The examination will begin at 10am, and students have been directed to report to the centre half an hour in advance.
As per the exam schedule released by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE), the examination will begin with the Hindi paper on February 26, while for vocational stream, the first paper will be English Communication on February 28.
For the general stream, on February 27 students will answer sociology and on February 29 it will be history (arts), accountancy (commerce) and physics (science).
On March 2, science students will answer mathematics paper. English is scheduled on March 4, chemistry (science) and business studies (commerce) on March 9 and economics on March 11.
The biology paper will be held on March 13, while banking will be on March 16. On March 18, psychology has been scheduled, while Sanskrit, Portuguese and French language papers are on March 19.
Konkani is scheduled on March 20 and Marathi on March 21. On March 23, students will answer political science. The examination will conclude with geography on March 24.
