On many occasions, the maintenance work of Electricity Department is found to be unsatisfactory. The concerned defects over electrical poles are not attended at the appropriate time. Seen in the picture are creepers covering a streetlight fixture in the vicinity of Sanjeevan Society at Bandora village in Ponda. Due to the existing creepers, illumination on the road is affected leading to difficulties motorists and pedestrians. As on Friday, January 4 at 8:00 am, situation in this regard was found to be stagnant.
There is an urgent need for this important department to remove the existing creepers on priority basis so that proper illumination is assured on the road. Such a step would also go a long way in improving the image of the Electricity Department.
Let us hope that prompt and favourable action would follow in this important matter in public interest.
