On some of the electrical poles we come across accessories gathering rust on different occasions. Painting work that was carried out on these accessories in the initial stages has withered away. However, the maintenance section of Electricity Department seldom initiates timely positive steps to improve the existing undesirable situations. Seen in the picture are rusted accessories at the transformer pole situated near Ravinagar at Khadpabandh in Ponda. The accessories need to be re-painted on urgent basis so that they are prevented from acquiring further rust.
Such a favourable step would ultimately improve the image of this particular transformer pole.
Let us hope that the higher officials at the Electricity Department in Ponda would take a note of this important matter and initiate prompt favourable action in this direction without any further delay.
