After a gap of more than three years, the trees along the Swatantra Path in Vasco, which had uprooted or were cut down, have been replanted. This step by the authorities will definitely increase the green cover in the Port Town. However, the enclosure around the trees also adds to the beauty of the city.
Incidentally the brickwork around several trees along the promenade is in a pathetic state. The tiles have come off laying bare the bricks and stones as seen in the photo.
The authorities need to restore the brickwork around the trees in order to enhance the beauty of the city. The earlier it is done the better.
