In response to Taylor Swift’s recent post unveiling details
about the back covers and vault tracks for her upcoming release of ‘1989
(Taylor’s Version),’ Elon Musk suggested that she consider sharing her music
and concert videos directly on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter).
“It’s a new soundtrack, Here are the back covers and vault
track titles for 1989 (my version) I can’t wait for this one to be out,
seriously. Thank you for playing along, sleuthing, puzzling and making these
reveals so much chaotic fun (which is the best kind of fun, after all).” Taylor
wrote in a tweet.

In the comment section, Elon wrote, “I recommend posting
some music or concert videos directly on the X platform”.
However, this suggestion didn’t sit well with many Swifties,
Taylor Swift’s devoted fanbase, who expressed their displeasure in the
comments. Swifties seemed to have mixed feelings about Musk’s comment, with
some fans raising concerns about the platform’s compensation for fan pages and
others questioning whether Musk’s recommendation was primarily driven by profit
motives. A third fan defended Taylor Swift’s expertise in managing her career,
and another pointed out that she doesn’t follow anyone, so she might not see
Musk’s response.
Elon Musk has been planning to introduce a “small
monthly payment” for all X platform users, indicating a potential shift
away from the platform’s current free model. This suggests that X may no longer
remain a completely free platform in the near future.
