MARGAO: Quepem Veterans shocked Nuvem Veterans 6-5 via the tie-breaker to march into the finals of all-Goa Chinchinim Veterans football tournament, organized by Chinchinim Veterans, at Sucaldem ground, Chinchinim, Thursday.
There was no score at full time. The teams started the game on cautious note, as a result the play was confined to midfield and there were few thrills at either goal.
The second session continued in same vein with both the teams adopting safety approach and defenders had a tough time in keeping their citadel intact.
Quepem Veterans had the last laugh in the penalty shoot out. Quepem will meet Vasco in the final on December 8.
