MATHOL-VERNA: Ambulor beat Poriebhatt 3-2 via the tie-breaker to move into the final of Lazaro D’Silva and Caje Fernandes Memorial inter-ward football tournament, played at Mathol football ground, Verna, on Thursday.
Poriebhatt took an early lead through Lenoy Fernandes in the 7th minute.
Ambulor fought back and equalised through Fulgancio Ambranches off a corner kick taken by Legorio Calado in the 50th minute. Poriebhatt missed two open chances to score through Roydon Furtado and Myron Rego in the 30th minute and 35th minutes respectively.
In the tie-breaker, Ambulor scored through Elroy and Legorio, while for Poribhatt only Peter netted. Ambulor now meet the winners of Povosao Boys and Bamborda in the final on April 28.
