PANJIM: The stage is set for the five-day Goa Food and Cultural Festival 2017 with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to inaugurate the fest at Campal on Wednesday.
Organised by Goa Tourism the festival is expected to draw a large number of visitors. “Year after year, the Goa Food and Cultural Festival attracts lakhs of tourists and this year too, the state capital will see a surge in tourists,” a statement issued by Tourism Department states.
Tourism Minister Manohar Azgaonkar, GTDC Chairman Nilesh Cabral, Panjim MLA Sidharth Kuncaliencer, Panjim Mayor Surendra Furtado and others will be present.
“During the five days of the festival, foodies, and food lovers will get an opportunity to taste authentic Goan dishes along with other culinary delights. Cultural programs and foot-tapping entertainment will set the rhythm and the festivities rocking. A gigantic stage consisting of an LED wall to feature innovative creative content that is thematic to the festival will create a stunning dynamic backdrops and a visual treat to every visitor,” it said.
