VARCA: Bardez Veterans got the better of Benaulim Veterans 5-3 to move into the semi-finals of the Clement Memorial Veterans football tournament organised by Youth of Fatrade, at Varca SC ground, on Monday.
Bardez Veterans netted through Santan Furtado and Allwyn Fernandes in the seventh and 15th minutes respectively.
In the second half, Benaulim came from behind and levelled terms through Elvis and Pele in the 46th and 51st minutes respectively.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Bardez Veterans proved to be better shooters.
