MARGAO: The Shadow Council for Margao (SCM) said its stand was vindicated after Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated in the Assembly on Wednesday the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) has to bear some responsibility in solving the Sonsoddo problem.
“The Council created the mess at Sonsoddo by dumping waste into the plant after it was cleared in June 2020,” said Savio Coutinho, SCM convenor.

The Shadow Council for Margao also gave a written suggestion that was acknowledged during the special council meeting, for clearing the accumulated waste at Sonsoddo with minimum cost.
