PANJIM: The Porvorim Police on Wednesday booked a 42-year-old Panjim resident for driving his four-wheeler in a rash and negligent manner under influence of alcohol which resulted in his vehicle hitting multiple vehicles.

According to police, Charles Santan Pereira from Mala, Panjim, while proceeding from Porvorim to Mapusa, drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner.

When he reached the traffic signal near Gauri Petrol Pump, Porvorim, hit a car which resulted into multiple collisions of cars which were proceeding ahead.
An offence has been registered under Sections 281 and 125 BNS 2023 and Section 185 and Section 3 of Motor Vehicle Act and the case is being investigated by PSI Sachin A Shirodkar.
