PANJIM: In a stern warning to Sri Ram Sena Chief Pramod Muthalik, who has announced to set up his organization in Goa in September, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday said that all organisations and individuals, who try to play with law and order would be dealt with severely. At the same time, Chief Minister stated that government has “no objection to someone visiting as tourist”.
Parrikar’s statement comes just few hours after opposition Congress party president John Fernandes demanded that government should detain Muthalik under national security act (NSA) for being a national threat.
“If someone tries to create any kind of tension or disturb law and order situation, government will come down on that person or organization,” Parrikar told media persons Saturday afternoon. While refusing to name anyone, Chief Minister said “there is nothing in the name…I don’t want to name anyone…but will make sure that there is no law and order situation (in Goa).”
The controversial Hindu leader- Muthalik against whom the Congress party has filed a petition in a local court for directions to police to file FIR against him, is known for making hate speeches.
