“People might be thinking that the movement against Mopa airport has slowed down. The moment has not slowed down. In fact, we are preparing to double the pressure on the government. We are busy meeting lawyers in order to approach the court of law. Our fight on the streets will continue, but this time in an intensified manner,” said Fr Rebello.
When asked whether GFDO received any help from State leaders, especially from South Goa, Fr Rebello said, “MLAs and ministers have been making statements that they are with GFDO and will extend all help, but when it comes to concrete action, we don’t get any help from them. Possibly they come under pressure and step back. We haven’t got support from anyone.”
