MARGAO: The Special Court on Monday remanded Canacona deputy Collector Prashant Shirodkar to 14 days judicial custody, even as he was admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, today, after he complained of chest pain.
Police said that Prashant Shirodkar, who was in the custody of Canacona police, was taken to the Canacona Community Centre late Sunday evening after he complained of chest pain. He was immediately referred to Hospicio later last night and was shifted to the GMC, Bambolim, for further treatment.
The Special Court has remanded Shirodkar to 14 days judicial custody after the expiry of his 14 days remand in police custody.
Meanwhile, the bail application of building contractor Vishwas Desai and deputy town planner Prakash Bandodkar is expected to come up for hearing on Tuesday.
