MARGAO: The South Goa Sessions court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail application moved by alleged accused Amit Vaigankar, a taxi driver residing at Pirni, Verna.
The Maina-Curtorim police on September 12 had registered an offence under section 376(1) of Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance 2013 against Vaigankar for raping his friend’s wife. She had alleged that the accused on August 12 at 10 pm had come to her house and after threatening her had forcible sexual intercourse with her.
