Ah! The sweet scent of Caiado

Kudos to the Herald for their in-depth research into the Russian rave scene and forcing the timely (albeit belated) response by the concerned departments. The people of Goa are no longer satisfied hicks and we see the glaring damage drugs and greedy faux – hippies have inflicted on our land and our children’s heritage.
Goa is the benchmark of prosperity in its purest form; not just in terms of money but a land overflowing with wholesome peace, joy of living, unity, culture and is an oasis for creatives. It is time to develop Goa along the avenues the Creator made her, without scarring her serene countenance,  playful heart and innocent soul by letting Maharashtrawadi’s make Goa into a clone of their sad, concretised state.
A Whatsapp number must be set up to entertain complaints about rave parties, drug use in public, dealers and locales that permit consumption of drugs. Mega rewards must be offered to encourage kids and villagers to report users/peddlers. This glaring puncture in Goa’s wheel of progress must be fixed. I’m sure some other pilgrimage site in India will gladly take up this yoke, leasing land next to their sacred ancient structures to allow budget drunks, stoners, psy/phi/death metal music what-have-you fans.
Speak all the Konkanni you want to, ministers: if you can tolerate garbage for another year, gambling for another minute, despicable depths of corruption and such putrid levels of vice on blessed soil, there is nothing remotely  Goemkar about you.
I find consolation in the faith that this is the last bunch of retards to mismanage our beautiful gem.
Smart classrooms, with qualified guidance counsellors in each institution, a breathalyzer on every traffic cops’ belt, more funds for wholesome education, sports, art and music, wire taps on all phones and surveillance on activities of MLAs, a close watch on liquor outlets that provide litter bugs with copious amounts of plastic bags, accounting for and recovering every penny stolen from blood sucking “government ” execs/ relatives. This is ‘Caiado’, this is the prized sea breeze we Goans are used to, deserve and demand: we refuse to inherit Delhi’s plight of breathlessness because we slept while traitors sold our Mother’s heart to the lowest bidder.
