After his escape from jail in Karnataka, Sheik is known to have come back to Margao a week ago and was taking shelter around Sonsodo. Margao police, who were keeping a track on his movements, tried to nab him at Krishna Classic restaurant, Borda but the accused managed to escape after jumping from the first floor. He was nabbed at Pajifond on Wednesday evening with a motorcycle stolen from Quepem.

He is wanted by Maina-Curtorim police for theft of two bikes and by Margao police for theft of one bike.

Meanwhile, Colva PI Nilesh Rane said the accused was interrogated on Thursday but refused to divulge any details. The accused was earlier interrogated by SP-South, DySP-Margao and Margao PI Sudesh Naik.
