VASCO: Twenty-four entities were booked for various violations of the Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Advertisement Prohibition Act (COTPA) at Vasco by the enforcement team. 

Surprisingly, Vasco Tourist Hotel run by GTDC and several nationalised banks have been found in violations of the COTPA. 

The defaulters have been booked under Sections 4, 5 and 6A of the COTPA and fine of nearly Rs. 4800 has been collected by the team. 

The team of representatives from Mamlatdar office booked grocery stores, hotels and banks for not complying with the display of banner prohibiting use of cigarettes and tobacco products.
