MAPUSA: After two deaths on the opening day, a third person died on the last day of the Sunburn Klassique on Sunday.

The deceased, Phanideep Khota, was 24 years old, and a native of Hyderabad. Khota was an automobile engineer by profession police said.

Police sources claimed that the deceased person had come for the EDM with two of his friends. When he was attending the festival Khota reportedly complained of uneasiness and suffocation to his friends.

His friends took him immediately at a first-aid point located inside the venue. However, by that time he became unconscious. A doctor tried to revive him but Khota did not respond to the doctor’s efforts

The doctor at the venue later suggested Khota’s friends to take him to a nearby hospital. However, when they reached St Anthony Hospital at Anjuna the 24-year-old was declared death upon arrival.

Police informed that the deceased was working for an automobile start up in Bangalore and had come down to Goa to celebrate the New Year with his friends. Khota had put up at a hotel at Calangute.
