2-hour-long power cut throws St Inez off gear

PANJIM: The entire area of St Inez and some areas of Campal were thrown out of gear for nearly two and half hours as result of a power cut which occurred due to a fault in Campal 11KV feeder.

PANJIM:  The entire area of St Inez and some areas of Campal were thrown out of gear for nearly two and half hours as result of a power cut which occurred due to a fault in Campal 11KV feeder.

Speaking to Herald, Power Minister, Pandurang Madkaikar said “There was a power cut in entire St Inez area and some parts of Campal as the 11KV feeder had developed a fault which took time to rectify and within two and half hours power was restored. I was personally monitoring the situation” The power cut threw normal life off gear, with consumers complaining about the situation.

Meanwhile, the electricity department has said that pre-monsoon works like inspecting transformers, changing oil, underground cabling, and repairs have already been finished and unlike previous years all the consumers will get quality and consistent electricity supply this monsoon season.
