MARGAO: Additional Sessions Judge I Edgar Fernandes sentenced four persons who had assaulted Jose Rodrigues and Rocky Rodrigues with iron pipes and wooden dhandas and also with fist blows and kicks to six months simple imprisonment.

The judge found all four guilty under Sections 326 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code for causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons and sentenced them to undergo 6 months simple imprisonment under Section 326 and three months under Section 323 with both sentences running concurrently.

The four sentenced are Ganesh Konak, Gracious Coutinho, Mubarak Khan and Bhaskar Konak. Incidentally, Ganesh Konak has expired.

 while Mubarak Khan is the same person who threatened the security at a bar at Colva on September 3, 2018 and subsequently fired a gun at him.
