MARGAO: Over 74 kgs of garbage was collected in 45 minutes on Monday by 40 students of The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal’s Eco Police Club, headed by teacher Swati Chavan, accompanied by Headmaster Wilson Verghese, School Chairman Melvin Pereira and School Director Ligia Pereira and support staff Rosario, Tanmay, Vinod, Santosh and Anand. 

As part of its “Save the Waterways” initiative, the school has adopted Raitollem Lake in Curtorim and regularly carries out cleaning along the periphery of the lake.
