PANJIM: Claiming that people from Bardez, Bicholim, Pernem, Valpoi had to go through a water shortage during this Chaturthi due to a failure of the PWD to ensure water supply, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday demanded that PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar resign.

“Sudin Dhavalikar has failed as a minister. We demand that he should resign and make way for someone who could give drinking water regularly and not just false promises,” AAP general secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar said.

He added, “The least that could be done was to provide water to the people to allow them to celebrate the annual Ganesh Chaturthi. Even that could not be ensured.”

He further said that the government was failing on every front with the opposition unable to play its role to checkmate the government.
