MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Minority cell Vice Chairman Kalim Khan has congratulated the Government of Goa for getting success in making “Urdu Mukt Goa.”

Khan said, “Though they have not succeeded in making Congress Mukt Goa, they have succeeded in finishing Urdu from Goa. Before 2012 there were more than 30 government primary schools which were running in Urdu along with the ample of Urdu teachers. But after Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar took charge of the State, he started ignoring Urdu schools and stopped appointing Urdu teachers.”

“He succeeded in his mission of totally eradicating Urdu from Goa. Since last eight years, he has not given permission for Std V in Urdu section and it clearly shows his attitude towards minority community,” he pointed out.

“Our chief minister has not taken any decision on his own but depends on his coalition partner and acts according to their directions targeting minority institutions, harassing and forcing them to handover their institution to his associates who indulge in antisocial activities,” he alleged.

Khan claimed that BJP’s alliance partner was not taking Parrikar into confidence and targeting minority institutions for their personal goal.
