PANJIM: Joseph Sequeira, who was named as the Congress candidate for Calangute constituency, when contacted said, “I am thankful to the Congress party for having faith in me and I will ensure that Congress win in Calangute.
He said that he would be meeting former MLA Agnelo Fernandes seeking his support. “I am confident that Agnelo will support me and work for me,” he said when asked about possible revolt from Fernandes.
He will meet Fernandes either today evening or Monday.
When contacted, Agnelo Fernandes sounded unhappy with party decision and refused to comment.
