Class 12 results likely by April 27

PANJIM: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is expected to announce the Class 12 results of by April 27 while Class X results are likely by May 25. 

“The Class XII results can be expected on April 26 or April 27. We will confirm the date by Tuesday,” Goa Board Chairman Ramakrishna Samant told Herald. As many as 18,502 HSSC students had registered to appear for the Goa Board exams that was held across 16 centres from March 5 to March 26. 

The exam for vocational stream students began on March 6 and concluded on March 17, 2018. Last year, the board had released the results for Class XII on April 27 that witnessed a slight drop in pass percentage from 90.10 percent in 2016 to 88.77 percent in 2017 for which the Board attributed it to increase in number of students who had answered the exam as compared to preceding years. Meanwhile, results of Class X is likely by May 25, however the date is not confirmed as the paper correction is still underway.
