MARGAO: Police personnel from South Goa are unhappy as they are yet to get the honorarium for election duty.

Every police station in South Goa had deployed its staff for election duty on February 3 and 4 in three different shifts, for which they were to be paid an honorarium of Rs 1400.

Besides, police officials who were deployed for the Sector Officers, Flying Squad and Observers, were to be paid an honorarium of Rs 140 per day. These staff members worked for around a month and therefore were expecting an honorarium of around Rs 4200 and the same has not yet been paid.

It is learnt that at Margao Police Station itself assigned 50 police personnel to the Sector Officers or Flying Squad or Observers.
