Cyclist crushed to death at Verna
VASCO: A 45-year-old cyclist was crushed to death under the wheels of a water tanker at Verna IDC on Monday afternoon.

According to Verna police, the incident occurred around 5.30 pm when the victim Pachu Ram Bind, a resident of Cortalim who was working at a soft drink factory at Verna IDC as a contract labourer was leaving for some work.”
When he reached the T- junction road near IFB plant the tanker driver turned at the T-junction and crushed him under the wheels killing him on the spot, police added.
Police have registered a case against the tanker driver and is likely to be arrested.
Further investigation is in progress.
