MAPUSA: Director of Municipal Administration (DMA) on Tuesday accepted the voluntary resignation of Mapusa Municipal Council Chairperson Rohan Kavlekar. Kavlekar had submitted his resignation letter to DMA on June 14 for approval.

MAPUSA: Director of Municipal Administration (DMA) on Tuesday accepted the voluntary resignation of Mapusa Municipal Council Chairperson Rohan Kavlekar. Kavlekar had submitted his resignation letter to DMA on June 14 for approval.
Kavlekar stepped down from the post to give to opportunity to other councilors as per their sharing tenure equation.
According to sources, the ruling councilors have an arrangement to rotate the post of chairperson among the four senior most councilors, namely, Sandip Falari, Rohan Kavlekar, Ryan Braganza and Sudhir Kandolkar.
