CANACONA: Friends of Irish woman Danielle McLaughlin, who was found murdered in the fields at Devbag met Canacona Police Inspector.The two friends of the 28-year-old deceased --   Sheridan Smith and Nicole Farren  met the Cancona Police Inspector and chief investigation officer Filomeno L Costa in connection with the murder case. They were seen closeted in the office of the PI for almost an hour on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, the twenty-three-year-old accused Vikat Baghat was produced on Tuesday before the JMFC Sarika Fal Desai who extended his remand to further seven days. It is learnt that Vikat complained to the judge that he was ill treated and abused by the police in custody. However, the judge dismissed his allegations remanded him to police custody till March 27.

Sources informed Herald that the Danielle’s body is being flown from Mumbai to Heathrow airport, London and the same will be flown from Heathrow to her hometown Buncrana, Donegal, Ireland for final rites.
