VALPOI: Villagers of Dhave-Valpoi have complained of acute water shortage in village for the past five days. 

The locals informed that taps have run dry on account of water pump breakdown. 

The villagers said they have complained to the Water Supply Department, Valpoi regarding the water shortage problem in the village. 

The Water Supply Department officials have made a temporary arrangement, as water is supplied to the locals through the tankers.

According to Eknath Paste, Assistant Engineer, the Department informed that the village water pump is old and has not been repaired for many years. Now, we have placed an order for a new water pump and in the next two days, the problem will be solved.
