Ponda: Dattaprasad Savordekar who is Chairman of Farmers appointed Committee is strongly opposed to the Annual General Body fixed on 2 September  by Goa Dairy Board, stating that the farmers and cooperative socities affiliated to Goa Dairy will not recognise to this meeting  because as per the Registrar of Cooperative Society (RCS) Direction  to Goa Dairy Board it should first call out the Special General Body Meeting to discuss mismanagement and scams occurred in Goa Dairy as per the inquiry conducted by RCS appointed CA.

According to Dattaprasad Savordekar the RCS in its letter to Goa Dairy Board dated 11 June and 25 July had clearly directed Goa Dairy Board to call out Special General Body Meeting to discuss on losses caused to Goa Dairy giving warning to take action as per cooperative law. So how can Goa Dairy Board skip Special General Body and directly calling AGM.

He said CA appointed by RCS has clearly pointed out mismanagement in purchases of raw material for Goa Dairy Cattlefeed plant , purchase of Machinary etc by not following the codal formalities, Government circulars, provisions of Bylaws and accordingly based on CA report about mismanagement  the RCS directed to the Goa Dairy Board to call out Special General Body Meeting. But instead of Calling the Goa Dairy Board has called Annual General Body Meeting on 2 September. Savordekar questioned without discussing on scams and losses taking action against those responsible for it in Special General Body Meeting, what is the purpose skipping it and calling out Annual General Body Meeting.

He strongly opposed to calling of AGM before Special General Body Meeting. He said eight days ago Inquiry Committee has wrote letter to RCS opposing to the Annual General Body Meeting called out by Board.

After launching Agitation and struggling  for almost years against losses to Goa Dairy Cattle feed plant to the tune of Rs 5 crores, the  Farmers supplying milk to Goa Dairy hopes of improving system in  Goa Dairy Management as Finally Registrar of Cooperative Society(  RCS) taking note of complaints  conducted inquiry into affairs of Goa Dairy by appointing Inquiry Officer. The  Inquiry Officer CA  Yatish Vernekar conducted inquiry into Goa Dairy affairs and found mismanagement in purchase of raw material for cattle feed plant but also pointed mismanagement violation of rules in purchase of Machinary, fill pack machines, procurement of milk from outside state, recruitment of staff etc.  Inquiry Officer submitted the report to RCS who in turn directed the Goa Dairy Board  to present it by calling out Special General Body Meeting of Goa Dairy ( AGM of 178 milk supplying society to Goa Dairy)
