VASCO: Unknown persons damaged four taxis parked at Assoi, Dongri in Dabolim, on Monday night. The taxi owners have demanded increased police patrolling and clearing of men boozing in the open here at Dongri.

The taxi owners have demanded immediate police action, failing which, have threatened to deal with the issue themselves. An aggrieved taxi owners Sanjay Gawas said, “This place was beautified by our local representative. However, some persons have started using this place for drinking and this incident is a result of the same.”

The taxi owners have claimed that there are several women travelling for work to the airport in the late hours and they too may be targeted if action isn’t taken.
