Fumigation carried out in Sanguem

SANGUEM: To prevent the spread of vector borne diseases like malaria and dengue, the Primary Health Centre at Sanguem in association with Sanguem Municipal Council conducted fumigation at Bamonsai ward.

SANGUEM: To prevent the spread of vector borne diseases like malaria and dengue, the Primary Health Centre at Sanguem in association with Sanguem Municipal Council conducted fumigation at Bamonsai ward.

The fumigation drive was personally supervised by the Sanitary Inspector Vassudev Pandu Naik, SMC Chairperson Romualdo Fernandes and health officials Viraj Kakodkar and Prasanna Desai.

On the occasion, Naik informed that the process is a part of cleanliness drive undertaken by the Sanguem PHC. Under the programme, all ten wards of the Sanguem Municipality will be covered. He urged for support and cooperation from the people.

Chairperson Romualdo Fernandes highlighted the importance of undertaking the fumigation in the council areas to prevent spread of any monsoon related diseases and insects.
