PANJIM: After its success in the 2017 Goa Assembly Elections, Goa Forward Party (GFP) has decided to work in other constituencies without disturbing the coalition constituencies.

Addressing the media, GFP spokesperson Trajano D’Mello said, “Our party president Vijai Sardesai has directed his ministers and office bearers to tour other constituencies spreading the party’s ideology. We will start touring other constituencies shortly but without disturbing the constituencies whose representatives are part of the coalition government.”

He added, “Under the leadership of Sardesai our party will grow in those constituencies which are mostly represented by opposition MLAs. Today nobody can deny that we are working hard to fulfill the promises,” D’Mello said.

He said that many panchayat members, zilla members and prominent leaders will join GFP. “Grassroots leaders like panchayat members, ZP members, councilors and other leaders have met our president and expressed their desire to join our party. To begin with one panchayat is likely to join us tomorrow,” he said.
